About Coach Lou
THE COACH
BEHIND THE
ACADEMY
Lou Dunbar II is a professional basketball player and elite skills trainer based in Oklahoma City. With years of experience playing at the highest levels of the game, Lou brings real, elite-level knowledge to every training session.
Known as "Sweet Lou II" on the court, he is the son of Harlem Globetrotter legend Sweet Lou Dunbar — one of only 8 Globetrotters in the franchise's 100-year history to have their jersey retired. Lou played college basketball at Oklahoma City University, where he set school records for most 3-pointers in a game (11) and most points in a game (50) — going 14-of-18 from the field and 11-of-12 from the free throw line. After college, he was drafted by the Globetrotters, following in his father's footsteps. Eight years on the road later, he's still traveling the world through the game of basketball — spreading knowledge and his love for the game.
Lou's mission is simple: develop complete players who can score, lead, and compete with purpose. Whether you're a beginner finding your fundamentals or an advanced player chasing the next level, Lou meets you exactly where you are.

Be Legendary Academy is led by an active Harlem Globetrotters professional athlete, which means my professional schedule can occasionally require unexpected travel, performances, or schedule changes.
While I make every effort to honor all scheduled training sessions, there may be times when a session needs to be rescheduled or temporarily postponed due to professional travel or Globetrotters commitments.
Your training package and investment are always protected. If a scheduling conflict occurs because of my professional commitments, you will have the option to:
- Reschedule your session for the next available date
- Pause your remaining sessions until I return
- Continue your training once my schedule allows
No session will be forfeited due to a Be Legendary Academy scheduling conflict.
I will communicate any changes as early as possible and work with you to find the best available time.
